We sometimes forget how difficult it was at the beginning – just to start something. Sure it was fun and joyful, but we struggled and had breakdowns (so many!), yet we fought back and ultimately made it.
Now that we see others go through these experiences and hardships, I hope we see with a bird’s-eye view how far we have come and how much we have grown since then. And I also hope we know how to value where we are today without losing sight of where we want to end up.
I often wonder whether we could make it if we had to start all over again knowing how difficult it was to start something. I wonder whether we would have the same level of tenacity, grit, and vitality to consistently put in the time, effort, and energy to make it through.
And here I am starting something new.
