The New Year

There is an interesting mental change that usually happens from the last week of December to the first week of January. December is the last month of the year, so we naturally feel tired, like we are carrying something heavy in our shoulders. It happens. We might have worked on a lot of different projects at work, dealt with different responsibilities at home and tried our best to keep up with our relationships.

Of course it’s normal to feel tired and be looking forward to some well-deserved vacation to rest, relax and recharge. But when the dates flip from December 31st to January 1st, our mind and body feel ready to get back at it, again – the grind.

We set our mind ready for the new year, new challenges and new goals.

All over again.

It’s like switching lights on and off.

The human brain is wonderful.
