Getting ready for a one-off task is what most people do. We have a goal, therefore we prepare the best we can for that moment or situation. The perfect environment is set up for us: motivation to achieve the result. That’s what your first quarter of life was about. Tests and results.
What would happen if we set a mindset of continuous learning, one in which we are constantly studying and preparing even when there isn’t a goal ahead for us?
Have you ever seen an athlete or a soldier not training because there’s no competition during the weekend or no war ahead? I know. It’s a different mindset and profession. But what if we develop a similar mindset for our life and get ready for whatever comes even when we don’t know what’s ahead for us? I guess that’s when we get “lucky”…when preparation meets opportunity.
