Never enough

Why are we constantly chasing the next big thing? I clearly know the answer to the question: ambition, success, fame, recognition, financial security.

Are we ever going to stop doing so? I don’t think so. Are we ever going to slow down? I don’t think so either.

We are humans and some of us are freaking ambitious — so ambitious that we could share it with less ambitious folks and we would still be chasing the next big thing.

Let’s say we get a new job, then we are already thinking of the next one; we get a promotion and we are already planning on how to chase the next one; we build a new business and are already strategizing the second one, and the list goes on.

I don’t think we are planning to slow down, needless to say stop, anytime soon, so let the chase keep going forever. Or you can reconsider and live a fulfilled and content life by enjoying your present, what you have, who you are, and where you are right now, without comparing your present with someone else.
