Life is so short and death comes by so quickly, especially taking away the best ones from our side.
What does somebody leave behind death? A legacy? But what kind of legacy and through whom and how? I believe we leave our legacy by doing good, fighting for the right reasons, and inspiring others to improve while helping them become better citizens. That’s what separates the good ones from the rest. And you, my dear friend, were one of the good ones.
I can’t believe it’s been over a decade since we last saw each other, had a conversation or shook hands. I remember them as if they were only a few months ago – so vividly.
I will never forget you cheering us and especially cheering me after a difficult game. I will never forget you hugging me, congratulating me, and being proud of us after a good game. And last, but not least, I will never forget your happiness after we became champions.
That was the perfect wrap to the great team and season we had, and you deserved that championship more than anybody for putting your trust in us all the way.
I remember all of these moments as if they were only a few months ago.
Rest in peace, my dear friend.
