Just finished Sex and Vanity: A Novel by Kevin Kwan.
Having read Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy last year. Sex and Vanity was not interesting at all. Most of the book, I would even dare to say around 90 per cent, was about the many characters’ luxurious lifestyles, clothings, and family heritages. And at last, 2 per cent of substance.
Don’t ask me about the remaining 8 per cent because I would not know where to place that part.
This book would have been an excellent short story or perhaps an essay, but never a book.
To the next, this will be a technical book for sure!
