It was my birthday a few days ago, then important people to me started texting me birthday wishes throughout the day. I’m grateful for having them in my life. Then during the afternoon, a receive a phone call.
My mind goes, “a phone call? That’s interesting and unexpected.”
I looked at the caller’s name and this immediately brought a smile to my face because it’s a Venezuelan friend whom I haven’t talked or seen in a long time. I then picked up and pretend I don’t know who the person is just to play with her for a few seconds.
It was fun for a moment, but we soon enough started talking and catching up about life and all that’s happened in our lives for the past few years.
Calling someone on their birthday might be a small detail but it brought a huge amount of joy to me.
