Things That Matter: Time

Time

Infinite time is something most of us want, but none of us will ever get. Sadly. Time goes by fast for adults and slow for children, or maybe the opposite. Time is limited.

Remember. It’s something we all have equally and does not change over time. We can’t buy, rent, or reserve today’s time for tomorrow or later, but we can sell our time or buy other people’s time in exchange of money or material goods.

Time is an unique resource; it is precious and shouldn’t be wasted on things that don’t contribute to making us or the world a better place. Time is the only thing that moves forward without having someone pushing it. Time is not money because money can be easily printed; time is even more valuable than money. It is extremely valuable for those who understand its value, but relatively inexpensive for those who haven’t realized how limited it is.

We all have 24 hours, some of us sleep between 6-8 hours per day, meaning approximately 1/3 of our lifespan, then we still have another 16 hours in the day. What are you doing with this remaining time? Spending 8-10 hours in the office sitting in front of the computer, commuting 1-2 hour per day, watching cat videos, exercising, doing things you don’t like but are needed from you?

When will you (including myself) find the right balance in life and go for our dreams – things and projects that really touch our heart and matter?

Don’t waste time because you will regret it later.
