We often tell ourselves to leave things for tomorrow — we procrastinate. But nobody knows if we’ll wake up tomorrow at the same state of life: being able to walk, speak, listen, taste, feel…or even wake up at all.
Life will always be unpredictable. That’s the pure reason it’s interesting. In stoicism, Stoics tend to remind us to live for today, but also think in the long-term; not leaving things for tomorrow, but also doing things for a hundred years from now. I believe that’s the mind-set with we should approach life: with high-intensity and energy today, yet conserving for later.
