FOMO

What’s the opposite of FOMO? Could it be EFMO (Enjoyment From Missing Out)?

Lately, I’ve felt enjoyment from missing out on some events simply because I want to enjoy/take time for personal and career growth, as well as spending some time around family. I don’t think there’s anything wrong or bad about it. Do you?

So, what’s the issue with always feeling like it’s bad to miss out on stuff, feeling like you have to always be there, pretending to be the super social guy (unless you get paid for it), going out and taking that picture just for the gram, and so on…? Take it easy, slow it down, find some inner growth, spend some time alone. It’s a wonderful experience if you haven’t tried it lately.

For the next few weeks I’ll be trying out something new: go without phone for at least one full day per week starting this weekend.

Have you tried this before? If you have, how did it go? It’d be great to read your experience!
