Most people simply want to be understood. Some want to be heard and supported, whereas others want to rant about life, relationships, or work –or how awesome or shitty their life is.
Nothing wrong with any of these. I think we all need someone that lends a shoulder or ear for support at some point of our lives, especially if that person has gone through a similar experience and can offer a different point of view, some advice, or say that everything will be just fine.
I’ve been there and done that — both sides. It’s not the end of the world. These experiences enrich us and are just part of our journey and daily life.
We live and learn, fail and pick ourselves up, cry and laugh.
The most important step is to not let one bad experience destroy who you are, what you have become, and what/who you want to become.
